Does gender matter

 

Fads are always changing, same with the world and science. Little do we know and understand is that our research is based on a lot of the opinions and perspective of the times. For example if there are conflicting topics research is hard to do because no one wants to do research that could create more contention and prove that one side is wrong. One of the biggest topics that is under research is homosexuality. Homosexuality has been a topic of discussion for along time and has received much heated discussion from both sides of the political system going for and against it. A lot of the research has become outdated making it hard to know and understand what is best to do. As well those that did do research made claims that were not true and were blown out of proportion that has not had the opportunity to be corrected. One of those being is the claim that being homosexual is passed through genetics. They found later that claim is not true. As well if it was true that means identical twins has the exact genes. That being if one was homosexual then the other twin would be homosexual as well one hundred percent of the time. But they found that it was a lot lower. It was found that the other twin would be homosexual ten to fifteen percent of the time. That showing that genetics don’t have a deal in homosexuality. That being it is not impossible but the studies done at this point in time there is no proof that shows that it is. Instead the research is showing that it is actually the opposite.

            Another big item that is under research is how important genders are. A big controversy today is the importance of gender. A lot of parents decide to raise their children without them being a specific gender to allow them to choose later in life. But they are having a hard time doing this successfully. Many parents give their children the same gifts and the results are fascinating. A common thing found is the girls take very well care of their gifts and often use their gifts as a parent and being very kind to the toys they were given. But on the other hand, the boys are a different story. They treat the toys very rough and are always using their toys as guns and using it to destroy everything. The parents are distraught when this happens. They are always in shock when finding and seeing this. They are shocked because they never taught their kids this behavior and can never figure out where it comes from. Their plan to let the kids decide always back fails. It seems that even from a young age there are key characteristics for both genders.

            As well that shows that male and female minds are extremely different. Our minds are different in many ways. Men are found to be more protective and focused on providing for their loved ones and family. And on the other habd women are found to be the opposite and are great nurture and teachers. That meaning that the roles cannot be switched or learned. But naturally more often than not we are more wired naturally that way.

            As we can see there is a lot of research that is old and needs to be updated. We need to stop focusing on what we think and what’s the culture thinks and trust science. It is ok if there is science done on controversial topics. More often then not we can learn from the research that is performed.
